The emblem of the World Cultural Affairs (WCA) is born from the fusion of the Globe, symbolizing the world of imagination, and the Chair, an everyday object.
This emblem is not a mere decoration, but an homage to the spirit of the Ready-made, pioneered by Marcel Duchamp’s 1913 work Bicycle Wheel, a turning point in modern art history.
WCA is an institution that brings imaginary narratives into reality,
while elevating real cultures onto the stage of imagination.
We believe that culture is not merely to be recorded or consumed,
but can be newly designated and recontextualized through declaration and creation.
Thus, WCA seeks to dissolve the boundaries between reality and fiction, between institutions and imagination,
proposing a new cultural order in which the virtual and the real coexist.
WCA offers humanity the freedom of imagination,
a sense of cultural belonging and solidarity,
the preservation and evolution of diversity,
and a space in which the future can be experimented with.
